ABOUT THE ONLINE COURSE
Would you like to learn the art of bookmaking? If you said yes, then you have an outstanding opportunity to learn it by joining this Mapping the Unconscious: Zen and the Art of Bookmaking event at Wild Rice Retreat. This workshop will be lead by Susan Kae Grant.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This mind-blowing event is all about promoting the art of bookmaking. In this workshop, you will get to know about the techniques and skills to make a book. This event will allow you to use your dreams, imagination, and ideas to create the content of your unique book. Attending this event will surely enhance your creativity and provide you with a skill of bookmaking that will benefit you throughout your life.
The length of this event is five days, starting on Sunday, August 8, and concluding on Thursday, August 12, 2021. This event is specially organized for encouraging the production of handmade artists’ books. This workshop will include lectures, discussions, and classes designed to help participants bring out their creative side. All participants will gain practical experience in designing and creating handmade books.
Susan Kae Grant is a famous artist, educator, and early proponent of photographic book arts. She earned an MFA and a BS degree in photography and books arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She worked as head of photography and book arts at Texas Woman’s University. Her collection of photos and book arts has been presented in many exhibitions. She has lectured and exhibited throughout the world.
