STEVE TAYLOR is a famous author who has written several bestselling books on psychology and spirituality. He is also serving as the senior lecturer in psychology at Leeds Beckett University and is the current chair of the Transpersonal Psychology Section of the British Psychological Society. He has written many books consisting of Waking from Sleep, The Fall, Out of the Darkness, Back to Sanity, The Calm Center and The Leap. His books can be found in 20 languages. Apart from books, his articles and essays have been featured in over 50 academic journals, magazines and newspapers.

Steve writes blogs and articles for Scientific American and for Psychology Today. He has always been interested in transpersonal psychology which is all about investigating higher states of consciousness and ‘awakening’ experiences. Taylor graduated with a master degree in consciousness and transpersonal psychology and a PhD in psychology from Liverpool John Moores University.

Steve was a teacher of personal development at the University of Manchester and is currently a senior lecturer at Leeds Beckett University. For the last eight years, he has been included in the list of the “100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People”, published by Watkins Books, “Mind, Body, Spirit magazine”. Steve lives in Old Trafford, Manchester, with his wife and three children.
