ABOUT THE EVENT
Pain is an inevitable part of life. Suffering shouldn’t be.
In these unprecedented times, support and community are playing a bigger role than ever in keeping us grounded. The seemingly small act of having someone that can acknowledge and listen to us, without judging, can go a long way towards breaking that vicious cycle of isolation and discouragement, and allows us to experience our pain without the self-critical filter, maybe even for the first time.
Through the Virtual Healing Circles, held very Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 EDT via Zoom, you’ll be given the tools to view your particular situation from a different standpoint through the simple act of gathering together in a safe and confidential setting, and sharing your feelings with others who are non-judgmental and caring. And while physical distancing is the order of the day, retaining an emotional connection with ourselves and others is just as vital. During the meetings, we’ll explore and discuss relevant teachings and share our wisdom and confusion. Our themes will include working with hope and fear, uncertainty, pain and suffering, illness, and many other challenging states of human experience. The meetings will also feature specific practices that you can engage in from the comfort of your own home.

ABOUT JEFF
Jeff Rubin has been teaching the Shambhala Buddhist tradition for almost forty years and has been specialising in chronic illness for more than twenty. Jeff developed the Unconditional Healing program as a result of his personal journey with a progressive degenerative illness, which first surfaced all the way back in 1999, and failing to secure a cure, or even a firm diagnosis, after visiting dozens of health practitioners and undergoing countless tests.
