Hindu priest, entrepreneur, and a former monk for 10 years

DANDAPANI is a well-known Hindu priest, entrepreneur, and a former monk for 10 years. After graduating from university with a degree in Electrical Engineering, he left it to become a Hindu monk under the teachings and guidance of one of Hinduism’s foremost spiritual leaders Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. For ten years Dandapani lived a life of serious personal discipline and training at his guru’s cloistered Hindu monastery in Hawaii.

Dandapani was an ancient Indian king from the Koliya dynasty, who ruled a city called Koli. He was born in Devadaha as a Koliya Prince, as one of the sons of Añjana and Yasodharā. His brother was Suppabuddha and his sisters Māyā and Pajāpatī. He was the Buddha’s maternal uncle. Dandapani then continued to develop himself, and the teachings and the tools, keeping them relevant today while living as an entrepreneur in New York City and speaking internationally to thousands of people.

Dandapani ‘s mission is to help people live a life of purpose and joy by empowering them with tools and teachings that have been used by Hindu monks of his tradition for thousands of years. He works with entrepreneurs globally and companies such as Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Nike, Trivago, Fortress Investment Group, Xero in cultivating focus and managing energy.

He speaks on several subjects surrounding the topic of self-development. Each of the topics comes with simple, practical tools that are applicable in every aspect of daily life and when practiced consistently, bring about change that can be sustained. The basis of his teachings was formed while living a life of serious personal discipline and training for ten years as a traditional Hindu monk in a cloistered monastery. He was trained by one of Hinduism’s foremost spiritual leaders of our time, Sivaya Subramuniyaswami.
